We’re delighted to announced that IrishComics.ie have been awarded a grant from the Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown County Council under their Arts Grants Scheme 2022.
The funds will be used to create and promote Irish comics, by commissioning six short comics to premier on IrishComics.ie!
What we’re looking for:
- Pitches for 4-page comics from creative teams or individuals who are Irish or resident in Ireland
- Preference given to creative teams living in Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown, and stories about or based in Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown
- No completed projects – we are commissioning you to make new work!
- No illustrations or prose (comic format only)
What we’re paying:
- €200 per comic
Deadlines:
16th April: Submissions open
20th May: Submissions closed
27th May: Successful teams are contacted
5th August: Submission of finished pages
The creative teams will retain all ownership to their work and are free to use it anywhere.
