Coireall is a cartoonist and filmmaker from Cork, Ireland. They received their BA in Animation at Limerick School of Art and Design, and are continuing their studies at Aalto University, Finland. They got their start in the Irish comics scene in 2017, and have since then featured in several Irish and international anthologies. Their short story “My Changing Relationship with Piercings” was shortlisted in the Illustration category of the 2023 IDI Graduate Design Awards, with their short film “Pitcher of You” receiving commendation in the Animation and Moving Image categories as well.
Coireall was a participant in our Pride 2024 project, funded by DLR County Council Arts Office.
